Jay Rosenkrantz

I get completely obsessed with improbable missions.

Once upon a time I thought I’d become a screenwriter. Instead, I accidentally became a professional poker player during the online poker boom.

Watching the Internet rewrite a centuries-old game taught me that the biggest opportunities appear when nobody agrees on the rules (and that yesterday’s experts and tomorrow’s experts are often completely different people).

Since then I’ve co-founded companies, produced films, built VR games, and founded Figments through Y Combinator. I’m drawn to ambitious ideas that sound slightly unreasonable at first, and to doing whatever gives them their best chance of succeeding.

Martov Co
Co-founded a VR game studio and built strange new worlds before anyone was quite sure what virtual reality was for.
Bet Raise Fold

DeucesCracked
Co-founded one of the pioneering online poker education companies. Acquired in 2015.
